Fire continues in the mountainous area in Sheki
The fire in Sheki continues in a mountainous area with complex terrain, Qazet.az reports.
Today, the fire that started in the high and complex relief mountainous area, 8-9 km away from the Kish village of the region, is still going on.
According to preliminary report, the fire covers an area of 15 hectares.
Bushes, hazel, dry grass, small trees, and dry tree stumps are burning in the area.
Although it is nighttime, work is currently underway to extinguish the fire in the area.
Note that in order to put out the fire, the appropriate equipment of the Sheki District State Fire Protection Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), 60 personnel, 30 personnel of the Civil Defense Forces, two helicopters of the aviation unit, as well as 100 personnel of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources were involved to the area.
