"From Village to City" weekend fairs will be organized in Baku and Absheron
On November 19-20, "From Village to City" weekend fairs will be organized by the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the information provided by Qazet.az reports with reference to the ministry, the main goal of organizing the fairs to be held in Baku and Absheron is to create an alternative sales channel for farms, and at the same time to fully provide the city residents with local, natural and seasonal agricultural products. At the fairs, products will be sold directly by farmers.

In total, about 80 farmers will represent about 50 regions at the next "Village to City" weekend fairs. Farmers will sell about 90 varieties of agricultural and food products.

Farmers will participate in the fairs completely free of charge. They will be provided with counters, scales, refrigerators and other necessary supplies and equipment. Also, logistical support will be provided to farmers who have difficulty in transporting their products, and their products will be transported directly from their farms to the addresses where the fair is held.

Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency will control the quality of the products sold at the fairs. Thus, the Mobile Food Laboratory will operate at the fair. Citizens can take advantage of the laboratory's services to find out the quality indicators of any product for sale.
