In the meeting of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, with Philip Ricker, the chief adviser on Caucasus negotiations of the US State Department, the mediation role of official Tbilisi in the Armenian-Azerbaijani dialogue was discussed.

It was reported that security issues in the region, South Caucasus, including Georgia's mediation role in Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations were also touched upon at the meeting. Irakli Garibashvili noted that negotiations are the only important way to resolve any conflict and ensure progress.
Irakli Garibashvili and Philip Ricker discussed the importance of Georgia's strategic partnership with the United States. Thanks to the steps taken in the field of cooperation between the two countries, the positive dynamics of the strategic partnership was highlighted. Full commitment to further deepening and strengthening of existing cooperation was expressed at the meeting.
US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan and Head of Georgian Government Administration Revaz Javalidze also participated in the meeting.
