Georgia-Azerbaijan trade turnover up about 20%  

In January-October 2021, the trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to $892,123,500, Qazet.az informs, citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat).

According to GeoStat, this figure is 19.5% more than in the same period last year.

In the first ten months of 2021, Azerbaijan became the fourth largest trade partner of Georgia after Turkey, Russia, and China, with a 7.9% share in the total trade turnover of this country.

In the reporting period, the exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan increased by 21.6% to $443.4 million, and imports from Azerbaijan ascended by 11.8% and amounted to $448.7 million.

With a 13.1% share in Georgia's total exports, Azerbaijan ranks third among the main export partners of this country after China and Russia. In total imports of Georgia, Azerbaijan, with a share of 5.6%, has become the fifth-largest import partner of Tbilisi after Turkey, Russia, China, and the US.
