“The European Union (EU) strongly supports our initiative to turn Tbilisi into a platform of dialogue between the three countries of the South Caucasus,” Georgian Deputy PM, Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani said after meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Joseph Borrel, Qazet.az informs.
“We want Georgia to be strongly represented in the trilateral format, and we have the support of European partners in this matter,” the minister said.
According to the Foreign Minister, the meeting with the EU official reviewed the situation in the region and highly appreciated the successful mediation of the Georgian Prime Minister between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
