Germany may organize meeting of Azerbaijani, Armenian organizations on Okhchuchay

Various issues arose after the end of the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia in November 2020, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig said at the Sustainability Forum 2021, organized by the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce in Baku.
The forum was dedicated to the sustainable development of water infrastructure, Qazet.az informs.
The ambassador noted that the Okhchuchay river, widely reported in the Azerbaijani media, is partly in Armenia and partly in Azerbaijan.
“Pollution of the river is a serious issue for Azerbaijan. The German Embassy in Armenia said that a few years ago, an environmental organization in Armenia raised the issue of heavy pollution of the river. I have contacted the office of President Ilham Aliyev to ask an Azerbaijani environmental organization to meet with the organization that raised the issue in Armenia to discuss the issue. Because we are interested in this matter. Even in the absence of trust between Armenians and Azerbaijanis, we can contribute to creating and restoring a healthy environment,” the ambassador noted.
