Hans Niemann sued Carlsen
American chess player Hans Niemann sued Norwegian world champion Magnus Carlsen, who accused him of fraud.
According to Qazet.az report, the 19-year-old grandmaster said this on his social network account.
Niemann filed suit in the US District Court of Missouri. Along with Carlsen, the chess player sued Chess.com, Hikaru Nakamura representing the USA, CarlsensPlay Magnus Group and his compatriot Danny Renshi.
Niman is demanding $100 million from the defendants for damage to his reputation and career.
It should be noted that in September, Magnus Carlsen left the tournament after losing to Hans Niemann in the third round of the Sinquefield Cup. The world champion accused his opponent of fraud. Although the US representative denied the allegations, he admitted that he had committed such acts in online chess in the past. Chess.com removed Niemann from its platform after Carlsen withdrew from the tournament.
