Heavy rains in Lankaran widened the course of the river, and village houses faced danger
The incessant rains in Lankaran region in recent days have increased the water level in Veravulchay.
Residents of the village of Vilvan informed the Southern Bureau of Qazet.az reports about this.
According to them, as a result of the increase in the water level in the river passing through the village, floods have arisen in the area. As a result, farms, especially citrus groves, were seriously damaged.
Also, the flood waters washed away the trees along with the soil layer.
Thus, the distance between the river and the houses has decreased to 10 meters in some places. It also caused a landslide on the banks of the river and about 10 private houses in the village were in danger.
The Operation Department of Lankaran Upper Khanbulanachay Hydrojunction has informed that the area has been registered by experts and after the project estimate documents are prepared, work will be started in those places.
