Qazet.az reports according to "Report" reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these comments in his speech at the opening of the international conference on "Along the Middle Corridor: geopolitics, security and economy" held at ADA University on November 25.

"Currently, we are in the final stage of consultations on a new agreement with the European Union. It is more than 90 percent ready. We did not sign the Association Agreement with the European Union. Instead, we preferred the format of bilateral cooperation," the President noted.

Speaking about the Eastern Partnership, the head of state noted that Azerbaijan considers this partnership not a platform for cooperation with EU member states, but one of the elements of cooperation with the European Union.
