"Noting all this, I want to say once again that Azerbaijan has confirmed itself as a strong sports nation in the world, and the position of our country in the world arena as a whole is getting stronger year by year."

Qazet.az reports that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev said these words on January 9 at the ceremony dedicated to the sports results of 2022.

"We conduct our policy consistently. Stability, peace and security reign in Azerbaijan, large-scale construction works are being carried out. Our historical Victory is a source of pride for every Azerbaijani, for every citizen, for all Azerbaijanis of the world. We will also educate the future generation in the spirit of patriotism. We will do it, as we have always done it, and we have raised such a wonderful young generation that raises the flag of our country both in the sports arenas and on the battlefield. The absolute majority of those who participated in the Second Karabakh War were young people - those who grew up on the basis of our policy, and are beautiful both in society and in families. It was young people who were brought up. This factor, of course, manifests itself in all fields. That is, our people have been living as a victorious nation for more than two years, and this proud factor will remain with us forever.
