Ilham Aliyev congratulated Kasim-Jomart Tokayev

President Ilham Aliyev addressed a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev.

Qazet.az reports that the letter says:

"Dear Kasim-Jomart Kemelevich,

On the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Republic Day, I heartily congratulate you and all your people on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, and convey my most sincere wishes.

Kazakhstan has made significant achievements in all fields and has taken a worthy place in the international world, advancing confidently through dynamic development. Today, the large-scale reforms and construction works carried out in the country under your determined leadership serve the comprehensive development and rise of your brotherly country. Azerbaijan, as a brother country, is very happy with your successes.

The current high level of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations clearly embodies the will of our fraternal nations, which are closely connected to each other by shared history, spiritual and cultural values.

Your official visit to Azerbaijan in August of this year has opened up good opportunities for raising the quality of cooperation between our countries to a new level, for further development of our relations in political, economic, energy, cultural and other fields. At the same time, I remember with pleasure my recent meeting with you in Astana, and I believe that our detailed exchange of ideas and discussions on the prospects of our cooperation will give new impetus to Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations.

I am sure that by taking advantage of the available opportunities, we will make joint efforts to continue and expand our mutually beneficial cooperation, both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations, especially the Organization of Turkic States.

On this holiday, I wish you good health, happiness, success in your state activities, and peace and prosperity to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan."
