Ilham Aliyev - Development of Middle Corridor - call of time

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan can synchronize further work to expand the capacity of the Trans-Caspian route, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana, Qazet.az reports according to AZERTAG.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the invitation to the CICA summit and the traditional hospitality of the Kazakh people.

“I am very glad to visit fraternal Kazakhstan. I would also like to congratulate you on the good results of the summit. This is another demonstration of the role that Kazakhstan plays in the international arena and the high authority of your country.

Issues related to the development of the Middle Corridor are the call of the time. It is good that both Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan were prepared for this, because a very modern transport infrastructure has been created in our countries, which makes it possible to transport a greater volume of cargo already today. In the future, by coordinating our infrastructure plans, we can synchronize further work to expand the capacity of the Trans-Caspian route,"
