Ilham Aliyev received the president of the European Olympic Committees

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the President of the European Olympic Committees and the President of the Greek Olympic Committee Spiros Kapralos on November 10.

Qazet.az reports that the head of state first of all congratulated Spiros Kapralos on his election as the president of the European Olympic Committees, wished him success in his work, and expressed his gratitude for his participation in the 30th anniversary events of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee.

Remembering the first European Games with pleasure, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of this prestigious event and highly appreciated the role of Spiros Kapralos in organizing the games.

Expressing his gratitude for the kind words, the guest first of all conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee. Touching on the importance of the First European Games, Spiros Kapralos specially noted that this international sports event was organized at a high level and the role of the head of state in this matter. He said that our country's worthy hosting of this event made a great contribution to solidarity in the European Olympic family. Spiros Kapralos emphasized with satisfaction the great successes achieved by Azerbaijani athletes in international tournaments during the past period.
