Investment in Azerbaijan's economy up 8%

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan made 11.774 billion manats (over $6.93 billion) from January through October of this year, marking an 8.2% growth over the same period of 2021, Qazet.az reports according to the State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 13.5% and in the non-oil-and-gas sector increased by 23.8%.

During the reporting period, 6.585 billion manats -$3.87 billion- or 55.9% were made in production, 4.457 billion manats -$2.62 billion- or 37.9% in services, 731.6 million manats -$430.35 million- or 6.2% in housing construction.

Domestic funds made up 9.043 billion manats -$5.32 billion- (76.8%) of the funds directed to fixed capital and construction and installation work amounted to 8.664 billion manats -$5.1 billion- (73.6%).
