Iran wants to increase trade turnover with Armenia to 3 billion dollars

Speaking about the opening of the Consulate General of Iran in Gafan, the Iranian diplomat emphasized that his country opposes obstacles at the border or transit through Armenia, and supports the development of the region.
He also noted that Iran is interested in opening an Armenian consulate in Tabriz.
The parties declared that Iran's consulate in Gafan will contribute to the development of trade-economic, transport and energy relations. They also talked about the possibility of increasing the trade turnover between the two countries to 1 billion dollars.
Currently, the volume of trade turnover between Iran and Armenia is close to 700 million dollars. It should be noted that the Consulate General of Iran in Gafan was opened on October 21.
