"There are cases of intensive renting of houses by Iranian citizens in the Armenian city of Gyumri," said the military expert Adalat Verdiyev, Qazet.az informs.
He stressed that there is a lot of mystery in this issue.
“I tried to find out the reason behind the special interest of Iranian citizens in Gyumri. According to reliable sources, some of them are spying against Russia. From these houses, the road to Russia's 102nd military base can be easily observed. Therefore, there is no doubt that Iranian citizens living in these houses have the opportunity to track and register the material brought in or taken out of the Russian base.
“According to the same source, the Iranian special services use Armenian women serving at the Russian military as espionage tools. Despite the coincidence of their short-term interests, Iran sees Russia as its strategic rival in the Caucasus. Iran's special services are systematically active in Gyumri, and it is possible that these groups may soon commit provocations against Russia."
