Israel expressed concern about Russia’s incursion into eastern Ukraine on Wednesday, Qazet.az reports citing the statement of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
The statement, which came about a day and a half after Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of two regions of Ukraine and said the country has no right to exist, supported “Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.”
”Israel is a partner to the international concerns about the steps taken in eastern Ukraine and hopes a diplomatic solution will be found that will bring calm and is willing to enlist to do so if asked,” the Foreign Ministry stated. “Israel is continuing close discussions with its partners about ways to bring the diplomatic effort back on track.”
