Italy introduces fines for unvaccinated elderly people
All Italians aged 50 and over who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus
All Italians aged 50 and over who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus and do not have a medical exemption from vaccination are at risk of a fine of 100 euros from the tax office from Tuesday.
Qazet.az informs citing RIA Novosti that the relevant decision was made earlier by the Italian Council of Ministers, which introduced compulsory vaccination for the age category 50+ in the Apennines on January 8. At the same time, citizens were given the opportunity to receive at least the first dose of the drug against COVID-19 during February.
Those who have not done this will simply not be able to get to work in two weeks. From February 15, all Italians over 50 years of age will be required to present the so-called "enhanced" green pass to access the workplace. Such a COVID pass in Italy can only be obtained by those citizens who have completed their vaccination or have had a coronavirus infection. No disciplinary action will be taken against the unvaccinated, but they will lose their salary for the entire period of absence from work.
