Japan to launch 7 new nuclear reactors

The Japanese government will explore opportunities to develop and build new reactors as the country seeks to avoid new strains on the electricity grid and limit dependence on energy imports, said Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Qazet.az reports according toThe Japan Times.
"Nuclear power and renewable energy are critical to continue the green transformation of the economy," he said.
He added that Japan will restart seven more nuclear reactors from the summer of 2023. Consequently, the number of those who will return to work after the accident at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant will increase to 17 out of 33.
