Thus, a telephone conversation took place today between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The Minister congratulated Bakhtiyor Saidov on the occasion of his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and wished him success.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that he is sure that joint efforts will be continued for the development of the existing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries based on common interests and values.

The parties exchanged views on various aspects of fraternal, friendly and strategic partnership relations between the two countries.

At the same time, the minister spoke by phone with the former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov. Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the efforts of his friend and brother Vladimir Norov in the direction of further strengthening of high-level cooperation between our countries during his tenure as foreign minister of Uzbekistan and expressed his gratitude to the other side.

He wished Vladimir Norov success in his new position.
