Khamenei said that the Baloch cleric was killed by Russian mercenaries
"The villains who kidnapped and killed Movlavi Abdulvahid Rigini are Russian mercenaries who gave the happiness of their compatriots to the service of their enemies."

Qazet.az report  with reference to "Mehr" agency that the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, said this in his condolence text regarding the murder of Baloch religious leader Rigni.

He stressed that the perpetrators of the crime will be caught and punished: "The criminals who committed this crime are Russian mercenaries who are in the service of the enemies of the happiness of the Baloch compatriots and the unity of the Iranian people."

It should be noted that on December 9, a Sunni cleric, Mawlavi Abdulvahid Rigini, was kidnapped and killed in the city of Hash in the Sistan-Baluchistan province, which is located in the southeast of Iran.

Abdulvahid Rigni harshly criticized the Tehran authorities for the recent protests and stated that the national rights of the Baloch were violated. He proposed holding a referendum on political changes.
