Alev Kılıç, director of the Eurasian Research Center of Turkey, told Qazet.az reports about this.

"The signing of the Nakhchivan agreement in 2009 marked the beginning of the establishment of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, one of the initiators of which is Azerbaijan," he said.

According to the director of the Eurasian Research Center, today this process has already been institutionalized as the Organization of Turkic States and has received the status of an international organization.

"We consider the visits of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev to Baku as attempts to further expand cooperation in this direction, and we believe that these visits make an important contribution to the unification of the Turkic world," A.
