An exhibition of the famous Latvian artist Dace Strauss, dedicated to the Karabakh horses, has opened in Baku, Qazet.az informs.

The exhibition, which will last until Sept. 28, is organized by the Latvian Embassy in Azerbaijan jointly with the Arts Council of Azerbaijan and the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve.

During her stay in Azerbaijan, the Latvian artist had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Karabakh horses, which inspired her to create new works.

Strauss told Report that the Karabakh horses hold a special place in her work: “Their beauty and grace fascinated and inspired me to create paintings.”

The artist also noted that it would be great to organize such an exhibition in Karabakh, adding that, first of all, she would like the tradition of breeding Karabakh horses to continue, including in the homeland of this breed - in the mountains of Karabakh.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan took part in the opening of the exhibition.

Entrance to the exhibition is possible only with COVID passports.
