MFA: 55% of recent mine explosions occurred in areas outside the maps provided by Armenia

In total, over the past 30 years, the number of landmine victims in Azerbaijan was 3345, Qazet.az reports citing the Foreign Ministry.

"Since the end of the 2020 Patriotic War, 266 of our citizens have suffered from mine explosions."

Azerbaijan's MFA said that the mine maps presented by Armenia are inaccurate.

The reliability of the small part of the mine maps presented as a result of international pressure on Armenia, which denied the existence of mine maps in general after the signing of the trilateral statement dated November 10, 2020, is only 25%. Approximately 55% of the recent mine explosions occurred in areas outside the maps handed over by Armenia," the information says.
