Minister: When preparing the budget for 2023, economic growth of 4.5% is envisaged

When increasing budget spending, care must be taken.

Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said this at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.

Qazet.az reports According to the minister, increased spending in the face of high inflation could further accelerate price increases and lead to an inflationary spiral.

Sharifov noted that when preparing the budget for 2023, economic growth of 4.5% is envisaged, including in the non-oil sector at the level of 4.6%. Annual inflation is projected at 6.3%.
