Moral police has been abolished in Iran
Iranian authorities have decided to abolish the moral police.
Qazet.az reports that "Arab News" published information about this with reference to the General Prosecutor's Office of the country.
"The General Prosecutor's Office of Iran informed about the cancellation of the morality police," the agency said.
According to Mohammad Jafar Montazeri, the chief prosecutor of Iran, "the moral police was abolished because it had nothing to do with the law enforcement system of the Islamic Republic."
It should be noted that earlier it was reported that Iran's legal authorities are considering changing the rules regarding the mandatory wearing of the hijab for women.
