Here’s more from Vladimir Putin’s interview with Russian state television earlier today, in which he claimed Moscow was “ready to negotiate” with all parties involved in the war in Ukraine.

Speaking to the Rossiya 1 channel, Putin blamed the west for starting the conflict in Ukraine in 2014 by toppling a pro-Russian president, Viktor Yanukovych, in the Maidan revolution protests, Qazet.az reports.

He said:

The fundamental thing here is the policy of our geopolitical opponents which is aimed at pulling apart Russia, historical Russia.
