It was reported that despite the rainy weather in the country, tree planting and reforestation activities continue, various types of trees suitable for the climatic conditions of each region are planted and seeds are sown.
Jabbar Garibov, an official of the Forestry Development Service, said that reforestation measures were carried out yesterday by the employees of the Regional Forestry Centers in open and sparse forest fund lands of Gabala, Sabirabad and Guba regions:
"During the day, a total of 18,000 different types of trees were planted in the forest areas of the mentioned regions, and more than 660 kilograms of seeds were sown."
According to J. Garibov, more than 100,000 tree saplings were planted in the forest fund lands during the last week, and more than 5 tons of seeds were sown.
