More than 275,000 tons of cotton were delivered to supply points in Azerbaijan
To date, farmers in Azerbaijan have collected 275,327 tons of cotton and delivered it to supply points.

Qazet.az reports was informed about this by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Currently, the average yield of cotton in the republic is 26.41 cents/ha. In Aghjabedi, Aghdam, Beylagan, Barda, Imishli, Saatli, Tartar, Yevlakh and Zardab districts, the average productivity is higher than the national indicator.

This year, cotton was planted in 16 regions of Azerbaijan on a total of more than 100,000 hectares. Most cotton was planted in Saatli, Agjabadi, Sabirabad and Barda regions. The area of ​​cotton crops in these regions is more than 11 thousand hectares. In general, more than 45% of the cotton cultivation areas in the republic belong to these 4 districts.

447 harvesters and 3085 tractor trailers were involved in the cotton harvesting process. The number of cotton harvesters makes it possible to harvest almost 100% of the crop from the fields using machinery.
