"NATO countries are considering giving MiG-29 or F-16 fighters to Ukraine".
Qazet.az reports with reference to "Bloomberg" that this was said by the Supreme Commander of the US Allied Forces in NATO, retired admiral James Stavridis.
According to him, at the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the idea of NATO countries providing Ukraine with "MiG-29" or "F-16" fighter jets was abandoned: "However, now this idea is being reconsidered in order to ensure the superiority of Ukraine in the air space."
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance intends to allocate additional aid to Ukraine.
He said that as a result of Russian missile strikes, Ukraine suffered serious damage.
