Negotiations underway for return of Gates of Ganja from Georgia to Azerbaijan

"Fate of Gate of Ganja was an issue, which was on the agenda of my visit to Georgia last year. We discussed the issue with relevant public bodies there," Minister of Culture Anar Karimov, who is on a visit to Ganja, told journalists, Qazet.az reports.

According to Minister, there is no unanimous comment by Georgia in this regard: "We discuss return of Gates of Ganja to Azerbaijan through negotiations. As you know, there is an intergovernmental commission between Georgia and Azerbaijan and even the issue has been included in the agenda of the Commission by Azerbaijan. Negotiations continue not easily, but hard. Our purpose is return Gates to Azerbaijan."
