Oil fell due to coronavirus restrictions in China
It has fallen due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions in China.
Referring to stock exchanges, Qazet.az reports that the January futures of "Brent" oil produced in the North Sea decreased by 1.02% and was sold at 86.73 US dollars per barrel. The price of WTI oil January futures fell by 0.86% and amounted to 79.42 US dollars per barrel.
Markets are focusing on the worsening of the coronavirus situation in China and the coronavirus restrictions that have negatively impacted the Chinese economy, as well as indirectly the demand for oil. So, over the weekend, deaths from coronavirus were recorded in China for the first time in the last 6 months.
