Baku Metro will switch to enhanced working mode on holidays and the institution's working hours will be extended by 1 hour.

Bakhtiyar Mammadov, head of press service of "Baku Metropolitan" CJSC, told Qazet.az reports about this.

He said that on December 31 - the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year's holiday, the enhanced working regime of the Baku metro will be changed in accordance with the requirements of the day: Also, a duty schedule will be drawn up with the involvement of additional manpower at the stations close to the places where holiday trips and various mass-cultural events will be held. Considering the flow of passengers, special attention will be paid to the schedule of trains on holidays. In this regard, although December 31 is considered a non-working day, from 9:00 to 21:00 the interval between trains moving in the area of "Hazi Aslanov-28 May" is 2.5 minutes, 1-4 of 2023 and on January dates, it will be equal to 3 minutes. However, taking into account the possible passenger density, spare trains will be provided to run on the lines at any time of the day and will be put on the line if necessary."
