Online ticket sales for the Baku-Ganja passenger train will be temporarily suspended

Tomorrow, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. to November 14, 2022 at 12:00 a.m., online ticket sales for the Baku-Ganja-Baku high-speed passenger train will be suspended due to technical reasons.

Qazet.az reports that "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC released the information about this.

It is reported that in connection with the implementation of the Decree No. 718 dated June 03, 2019 of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the creation of the "Government cloud" (G-cloud) and the provision of "cloud" services, the information of "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC migration of systems and resources to the "Government Cloud" is envisaged. Online ticket cancellation is related to this transition process.

Online tickets purchased in advance for the mentioned dates will remain valid and passengers will be able to travel with that ticket.

On the mentioned dates, tickets will be sold only at ticket offices of railway stations. It is possible to pay for tickets at the ticket office in cash and at the same time non-cash.

Tickets bought online can be returned on those dates only at ticket counters (at Baku passenger, Bilajari, Yevlax, Goran, Ganja stations). In the case of ticket refunds, the amount paid for the ticket will be transferred to the passenger's bank account within a specified period after the resumption of online ticket sales.

During this period, there will be no restrictions on the sale of tickets for trains running on the Absheron circular railway line.

In connection with the improvement of the information resources of "Azerbaijan Railways", interruptions in the work of "1822-Contact Center" of ADY are likely to occur. In this regard, passengers and people who want to use railway transport can call (012) 499 45 15 with questions and difficulties.

It should be noted that with the transition of information resources and reserves to the "Government Cloud", it will be possible to reduce costs in the field of information technologies, increase productivity, improve the security of these systems, form a stable and sustainable infrastructure, and organize operational coordination and constant monitoring.
