Celesta Arantes, the mother of legendary Brazilian football player Pele, who died on December 29, is unaware of her son's death.

Qazet.az reports with reference to "Mirror" that Maria Lucia do Naskimento, the sister of the former attacker, informed about this.

He said that his mother did not know that Pele had died: "We talk to her, but she does not know the situation. She is in her own world. When I mention Pele's name and say, "we will pray for him", she opens her eyes. But she does not understand what I am saying."

It should be noted that Celesta Arantes celebrated her 100th birthday last month. Pele died at the age of 82. The legendary forward will be buried on January 3.
