Qazet.az report that this was said by Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at the meeting of the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis.

"As long as this document is not in force, we must ensure competition within the framework of existing laws and powers," he said.

It should be noted that the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service under the Ministry of Economy submitted the Competition Code to the Cabinet of Ministers. The project prepared for the purpose of improving the legislation of the Code, effective and unhindered activity of market entities, defines the competition authority and its status, the rights and duties of market entities in the field of competition, agreements and actions limiting competition, as well as the criteria for the geographical distribution of market shares. The project also includes a detailed explanation of the dominant position in the market and abuse of this position, unfair competition and its forms.
