Qazet.az reports that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this at the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan National Urban Planning Forum in Aghdam on the theme "Sustainable Development Goals" and "New Urban Agenda" - as the leading force of recovery and reconstruction in the post-conflict period.

The head of state emphasized that Azerbaijan is faced with the problem of IDPs returning to their homes due to landmines.

"Since the end of the war, more than 250 Azerbaijanis have been killed or seriously injured as a result of mine explosions. Unfortunately, their number is increasing every week. Just last week, 2 people died and 3 people were seriously injured," President Ilham Aliyev said.
