"Dear compatriots! Armenia committed military provocation against Azerbaijan and shelled our combat positions and residential settlements one year ago today," said President Ilham Aliyev in his address to the nation regarding September 27 - Remembrance Day, Qazet.az reports.

Head of state noted that civilians, servicemen were killed at earlier hours as a result of treacherous shelling: "Azerbaijani Army started a large scale counter-attack operation as a response to the bloody crime with my order and gained a complete victory in the Second Karabakh War, which lasted for 44 days."
