President: Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan are closely connected by common moral values
"Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan are closely connected with each other by ethnic, religious and cultural roots and common moral values. We are rightly proud of the rich historical and cultural heritage of our peoples and their great contributions to human civilization."

Qazet.az report  that President Ilham Aliyev made these comments during his speech at the general meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan in the city of Turkmenbashi on December 14.

The head of state said that Azerbaijan's political relations with both Turkey and Turkmenistan are at a high level: "The Shusha Declaration we signed with Turkey last year brought our relations to the level of strategic alliance. In 2017, the Declaration on strategic partnership was signed between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Our countries are international organizations, it including the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Organization of Turkic States, the OSCE and other institutions, they provide mutual support and cooperate with each other. Our relations built on historical ties create opportunities for the development of cooperation between our countries in economy, trade, transport-logistics and other fields."
