"Dear congress participants!
I heartily greet you on the occasion of the start of the 20th congress of Azerbaijani architects, I wish each of you good health and success in your future activities.
The architecture of Azerbaijan, which has passed through centuries and is always distinguished by its unique style, occupies a worthy place in the cultural annals of our nation. The incomparable architectural pearls created by our craftsmen faithfully to the classical Eastern traditions and principles are a source of pride for each of us as an integral part of the world cultural heritage. The unique harmony of these monuments with a natural composition with the natural and cultural landscape is admirable.
On the basis of successful projects combining the architectural styles of the period and the great experience of national architecture, valuable examples of urban planning art with high spiritual and aesthetic impact were created in Azerbaijan. After the restoration of state independence, new manifestations in the field of architecture and urban development in our country have manifested themselves in the design solution of modern-style buildings and monumental complexes.
Following the brilliant Victory in the forty-four-day Patriotic War, our current most hopeful goals - the rapid construction of all the necessary infrastructure in our freed homelands and the revival of life, the redevelopment of our ruined cities and villages, and the restoration of our cultural relics to their former appearance - pose urgent tasks for the architecture of Azerbaijan.
I believe that the important decisions that will be made at your congress will contribute to the future development of the country's architecture by having a wide discussion and detailed exchange of ideas on topical issues.
