President Ilham Aliyev visited the mausoleum of Islam Karimov, the first President of Uzbekistan

On September 15, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the mausoleum of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in Samarkand.

Qazet.az reports that the 8-meter-high mausoleum was built with the grave of the first President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov.

During the design and construction of the mausoleum, attention was paid to the compatibility of its design with the ancient Khazrat-Khizr Mosque in Samarkand, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

President Ilham Aliyev laid a bouquet of flowers in front of the grave of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov.

Then verses from the Holy Quran were read.
