President of Azerbaijan: "Armenia does not implement its part of the Statement"

"Armenia does not implement its part of the Declaration".

Qazet.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this during his speech at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Astana on October 14.

"As for other aspects of the post-conflict situation, now we are actively engaged in the restoration of the liberated areas. Everything has been destroyed, images have been published, those who wish can get acquainted," added the President.

"There is hardly a safe building left in the area of ten thousand square kilometers, 65 out of 67 mosques have been destroyed. You can also find images of insulting Muslim holy places, keeping pigs and cows in mosques on the Internet. All this is due to extreme hatred towards the people of Azerbaijan and the entire Muslim world. It can only be understood in this way.

I would like to mention one more point that in November 2020, a tripartite Declaration was adopted with the mediation of the Russian Federation. Azerbaijan fulfills all the provisions of the Declaration, including providing unhindered access to Karabakh from Armenia. Armenia does not implement its part of the Declaration. It does not provide unimpeded access to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from the main part of Azerbaijan, although this is its legal obligation, and it has not yet withdrawn the Armenian armed forces from the territory of Azerbaijan. We are still showing patience, but there is a limit. If these two important points of the November 2020 Statement are not implemented, we will have no choice but to take adequate measures," the head of state said.
