President of Azerbaijan: France cannot participate in peace talks and it is its fault
"It is clear that France cannot participate in the peace talks. It is their fault, not ours."

Qazet.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this in his speech at the international conference "Along the Middle Corridor: geopolitics, security and economy" held at ADA University on November 25.

"Less than a week after the Prague meeting, French President Macron criticized Azerbaijan in an interview and accused us of things we didn't commit. Then a completely unacceptable and offensive resolution of the French Senate was adopted. The French National Assembly is also expected to adopt another anti-Azerbaijani resolution. "followed by France's attempt to attack us through the Francophonie Summit. This is unacceptable because Francophonie is a humanitarian institution," the President said.

The head of state noted that the Azerbaijani side has an initial version of the text of the resolution prepared by France together with Armenia, full of accusations and fabrications: "However, we have friends not only in the Non-Aligned Movement, but also in Europe. Thus, this anti-Azerbaijani resolution is nothing more than a formality."

"Considering all this, it is clear that France cannot participate in the peace talks. It is their fault, not ours. Because neither the USA nor Russia have ever taken sides at the official level. This means that the December 7 meeting will not take place, and we will we will consider the alternatives. Let's see who will play the role of mediator and on what platform it will take place?", President Ilham Aliyev noted.

The head of state emphasized that he considers Pashinyan's demand for Macron's participation in the Brussels meeting as an attempt to disrupt the peace talks.
