President Salome Zurabishvili congratulated the leader of Azerbaijan
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, addressed a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

"Your Excellency.

On behalf of the people of Georgia and on my own behalf, I convey my most sincere congratulations on your birthday, I wish you new successes and a long life. Thanks to your loyal service to your country and people during your leadership, Azerbaijan has become a modern, successful state.

For many centuries, the Caucasus has been a region where different cultures have met and played a major role in the unification of the East and the West. Today, when the world is facing numerous challenges and undergoing serious changes, our countries can play an important role in strengthening peace and stability not only in our region, but in the world as a whole. I am sure that we will make every effort to use this rare opportunity to further strengthen our strategic partnership and turn the Caucasus into a center of communication and a place of global security and stability reflecting the historical ethnic identity of our region.
