Production of solar power plants in Azerbaijan sharply increased

In January of this year, wind farms in Azerbaijan produced 6.7 mln. kWh of electricity, which is 25.6% less than a year earlier, Qazet.az reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

In January, 3.2 mln. kWh of electricity was produced (+ 60%) by the solar-powered stations.

Notably, last year, wind farms in the country produced 89 million. kWh of electricity, which is 6.7% less than a year earlier. While in 2021, 54.2 mln. kWh of electricity was produced (+ 18.3%) by the solar-powered stations.
