Professor Abasgulu Guliyev died
Professor Abasgulu Guliyev, an outstanding scientist, Honored Scientist, corresponding member of ANAS, who had a special place in the development of chemical science, died.
Qazet.az reports that he died at the age of 82.
It should be noted that Abasgulu Mammad oglu Guliyev was born on November 13, 1940 in Zangibasar district of Western Azerbaijan.
He studied at the Faculty of Chemistry of Azerbaijan State University (now BSU) in 1957-1962. After graduating from the university, he was assigned to work at the Sumgayit "Surfactants" plant.
In 1962, he started working at the closed Chemical enterprise located in Sumgayit city.
In 1964, he entered the post-graduate program of the Institute of High Molecular Compounds (St. Petersburg) of the EA of the USSR. In 1970, he defended his candidacy, and in 1987, his doctoral theses. He was awarded the scientific title of professor in 1989.
Since 1968, he worked at the Institute of Polymer Materials as a junior researcher, senior researcher, and laboratory manager. From 1993, he worked as the deputy director for scientific affairs, and from 2007 to 2014, the director of the institute.
Abasgulu Guliyev was awarded the title of Honored Scientist and Honorary Order of ANAS by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2007, he was elected a correspondent member of ANAS. Abasgulu Guliyev has been the chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Polymer Materials for many years, a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Polymer Materials, a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Polymer Materials and a member of the Expert Council of Chemical Sciences of AAK under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Editorial Board of the Azerbaijan Chemical Journal. He was the deputy chairman of the dissertation council.
