Prosecutor General: “UN International Justice Court to consider Azerbaijan’s lawsuit against Armenia on October 18”

“Since the Patriotic War began, crimes committed by Armenian military-political leadership, military servicemen were formalized by the Prosecutor General Office,” said Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, Qazet.az reports.

According to him, according to the requirement of the procedural legislation crimes have been documented: “We have enough evidence and proofs. Works on investigating crimes from the First Karabakh war were also conducted. We have a special investigation department in the military prosecutor office. That department deals only with an investigation of crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani citizens. Works are investigated in the department and proofs are collected.

K. Aliyev noted that currently, evidence and proofs are being realized.

"We have established our work in two directions. The first is that we put the perpetrators on the international wanted list so that they can be detained and brought to justice. The second is to achieve to bring the criminal leadership of Armenia and other officials to justice in international courts. In this regard, commissions were established on the basis of a decree signed by the President. The aim is to achieve bringing perpetrators to justice and payment of compensation by them. A lawsuit has already been submitted to the United Nations International Court of Justice and was accepted for execution. The lawsuit will be reviewed on October 18 this year.”
