Protests in Iran are not slowing down

Protests continue in Iran against the killing of Mahsa Amin by the morality police for violating the hijab rule imposed by the authorities.

Qazet.az reports that "GünAzTV" reported on this.

It was noted that students of the university in the central city of Tabriz, East Azerbaijan province, started a protest on October 1 at 12 o'clock local time. At the rally, anti-government slogans were raised and the repression against students and protesters was demanded to stop.

The protest action held on October 1 in Zahidan city of Sistan-Baluchistan province, located on the border of Iran with Afghanistan and Pakistan, was again observed with violent clashes. According to information, the government, which has sent additional forces to the city after the violent clashes that took place on September 30, is finding it difficult to take control. It was reported that military helicopters are currently flying over the city.

The participants of the action considered the information published by the official mass media about the attack of the armed men on the police station as unfounded and said that it was a game created by the Tehran authorities to justify the repressions applied against the peaceful demonstrators.

There are reports of many dead and injured as a result of the clashes. There is no exact information about their number. It was also reported that a large number of dead and injured were brought to Zahidan hospitals.

Today, protests were held in the capital Tehran, as well as in Karaj, Shiraz, Kirman, Ilam, Yazd, Rasht, Isfahan and other cities.

They chanted more radical slogans against the government headed by the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
