Putin not to attend Munich Security Conference

The conference will be held on February 18-20

Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning to participate in the Munich Security Conference in any format, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, Qazet.az reports citing RIA Novosti.

"Putin has no plans to participate in the Munich Conference. Not in any format," Peskov told reporters.

Earlier, the head of the Munich Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger, expressed hope that the Russian president would join the event through videoconferencing.

The conference will be held on February 18-20.
