Rashad Macid: "We will fight for the purification of the Azerbaijani media"

"Now the field of knowledge has expanded. Together with the new members elected to the Executive Board of the Press Council, we will fight for the cleansing of the Azerbaijani media."

Qazet.az reports according to Rashad Majid, the new head of the Press Council, said these thoughts in a statement to reporters.

He said that the Press Council will apply to those who harm the name of the journalist:

"We will encourage them to act according to ethical behavior. The Press Council will further develop their previous traditions. "The Press Council will play a major role in fulfilling President Ilham Aliyev's expectations from Azerbaijani journalists."
